Sitting on the eastern end of Grays Harbor, Washington, Aberdeen's proximity to both the Pacific Ocean and the Olympic National Park creates endless opportunities for recreation. Finding a good meal in Aberdeen is just as easy, and Chinese restaurants have a long and welcome history in the city.

Ocean Palace Restaurant

The Ocean Palace Restaurant is a popular and family friendly restaurant that serves Chinese and Chinese-American dishes. Cantonese and Mandarin style dishes dominate the menu, on which you will find the entire range of standard dishes, like almond chicken, General Tso's chicken, chow mein, lo mein, fried rice, barbecued pork, egg foo young and Mongolian beef. If you stray a little from the usual items, you might be pleasantly surprised with finds like crispy chicken in chili sauce and scallops stir fried with vegetables. The décor, with white padded booths, a chandelier, Chinese art and sculptures, sets a wonderfully exotic tone and the very friendly staff enhances the dining experience. The restaurant is open every day for lunch and dinner.

Chinese Village

Chinese Village is the kind of traditional Chinese American restaurant that Westerners have been familiar with for decades. The restaurant has been making Aberdeen residents happy for many years with menu choices like barbecued pork, fried shrimp, almond chicken, egg rolls, chow mein and fried rice. The egg drop soup is light and the cashew chicken is a favorite. Beer and wine are served, and the restaurant is closed on Mondays.

Canton Café

One of the oldest Chinese restaurants in the region, Canton Café has been serving Chinese-American food to loggers, fishermen, families and tourists since 1920. Dishes ranging from egg rolls and chow mein to fried rice and fried chicken have earned the restaurant a loyal clientele. The sweet and sour spare ribs are a popular house specialty. The restaurant is closed on Mondays.

King's Wok Buffet

As the name implies, King's Wok Buffet is acclaimed for the extensive and reasonably priced buffet served at both lunch and dinner every day of the week. Most of the items are Chinese but you will also find some American dishes and even sushi gracing the buffet table. The dumplings, spare ribs and fresh seafood, including crab legs and mussels, bring people back to eat all they can. Food on the buffet can be taken to-go, and a large carton is provided.
