Maritime Museum of San Diego

The Maritime Museum of San Diego is dedicated to refurbishing, maintaining, and operating historic ships. The museum boasts a collection of historic vessels, including the world's oldest working ship, the Star of India. Visitors can marvel at a replica of the H.M.S. Surprise, the Royal Navy ship from the 1700s that was featured in the movie "Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World." Guests can also enjoy a ride aboard a schooner that sets sail to Catalina.

San Diego Hall of Champions Sports Museum

Located in Balboa Park, the San Diego Hall of Champions Sports Museum is dedicated to telling the story of San Diego sports teams and athletes of all levels, from high school to the pros. The 70,000 square foot facility has three levels and includes memorabilia, an interactive media center, and a state-of-the-art theater.

Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve

Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve offers 2,000 acres of unspoiled land. Enjoy the diverse scenery, including beaches, a lagoon, and sandstone formations. Get up close with nature and wildlife by hiking the reserve's eight miles of trails. While on guided nature walks, keep an eye out for various birds, lizards, and mammals, including bobcats, coyotes, and bats. Walking along the coast, visitors may catch a glimpse of porpoises, whales, seals, and sea lions.
