Steak Houses in Nashville

Steak Houses in Nashville
Known as "Music City USA," Nashville is located in central Tennessee about an hour south of Kentucky. This state capital is located on scenic Cumberland River and offers attractions and activities for all ages. Visit The Parthenon, a full-scale reconstruction of the original Greek Parthenon, in Nashville's Centennial Park or enjoy the hiking trails, horse trails, fishing, water-skiing, sailing, and boating at one of the city's more than 100 area parks, which total more than 10,000 acres. After a day of exploring, head to one of Nashville's noteworthy steakhouses to satisfy your hunger.

Jimmy Kelly's

Located in a historic Victorian mansion in the West End near Centennial Park and Vanderbilt University, Jimmy Kelly's has been a Nashville staple since 1934. Jimmy Kelly's is the type of fine-dining establishment where the wait staff are career waiters. Service is impeccable, the atmosphere is romantic (you can surprise your date with pre-arranged roses at the table), and the food is award-winning. Steak cuts include filet mignon, rib eye, NY strip and Chateaubriand. Rack of lamb, lobster and free-range chicken breast round out the menu. Reservations are accepted, and recommended. Jimmy Kelly's is closed on Sundays.

Stock-Yard Restaurant

Named "one of the Top Ten Steakhouses in the United States" by the International Restaurant and Hospitality Rating Bureau, the Stock-Yard should be on every visitor's must-visit list while in Nashville. A local favorite since 1979, the Stock-Yard is steeped in history, including the oldest bottle of wine (from 1776) in the United States, which is on display in the lobby. The menu includes mostly beef and lobster dishes, with a few chicken, pasta and vegetarian dishes to please everyone. While private dining rooms are available, the main dining room's atmosphere is decidedly romantic, complete with a strolling balladeer. The downtown restaurant offers a complimentary shuttle service to and from area hotels. Reservations are recommended.
