Gig Harbor is a waterfront community located on a peninsula at the southern tip of Puget Sound, linked by the Tacoma Narrows Bridge to the city of Tacoma. Boating and other aquatic activities are popular in Gig Harbor and six golf courses are in close proximity. Nineteen parks are operated by the city, including 16-acre Wilkinson Farm Park with wildlife and trails, Finholm View Climb with views of Mount Rainier and Cushman walking and biking trail.

Massimo Italian Grill

Massimo Italian Grill is a waterfront restaurant serving lunch and dinner starting at 11:30 a.m. each day. Lunch dishes include soups, salads, Panini sandwiches, pasta and pizza and prices in 2010 range from $3.50 to $13.95. Dinner entrees feature grilled halibut, chicken Parmesan, Scallopine Gorgonzola, and many others in addition to pasta and pizza dishes. Entrees are priced starting at $13.95 and are accompanied by pasta and soup or salad. A children's menu also is available for diners younger than age 11 and twilight dinner specials are served Sunday through Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Il Lucano Ristorante Italiano

Il Lucano is open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Saturday, for dinner only Sunday, and is closed Monday. Takeout is available and a twilight dinner is served from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., also Tuesdays through Saturdays. Sample lunch dishes include cannelloni, linguine, gnocchi, minestrone soup, and Panini sandwiches with chicken and are priced in 2010 starting at $4.95 for soup and $7.95 for pasta. Il Lucano's dinner menu includes antipasti, pizza, soup, salad, pasta, and entrees such as salmon verde and zuppa di Pesce with prices starting at $12.95 for pizza and $14.95 for entrees. Il Lucano is located downtown Gig Harbor just off Pioneer Way and minutes to the waterfront.

Spiro's Pizza and Pasta Bella

Spiro's offers casual Italian fare daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., with extended hours on weekends until 11 p.m. Takeout is available as well as a children's menu for eating in the restaurant. Spiro's menu includes 27 varieties of pizza in three sizes, smaller pita pizzas, appetizers, soup, salads, pasta dishes, and hot sandwiches served with soup or salad. For lunch, Spiro's serves pizza slices, sub sandwiches, salads, and smaller pasta dishes. Prices start at $9.50 for a small pizza to $14.95 for crab ravioli in 2010. Spiro's is located downtown Gig Harbor on Harborview Drive one block from the waterfront.
