Mexico City is a small community in Bay City County, Florida. Mexico City is unique because part of the city limits are under water. There are sugar-sand dune beaches surrounding the community. Water based activities are the norm here with surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, and sailing all readily accessed from the area. Beach camping and RV parks are available in the region.

Rustic Sands RV Resort

With a prime beach location, the Rustic Sands RV resort offers visitors a relaxing waterfront campground. Hook-ups for sites include 30- or 50- amp electric, water, sewer, cable TV and Wi-Fi. Guests can enjoy on-site showers, picnic areas, private toilets, shuffleboard, barbecue area, laundry room, playground, swimming pool, and pet walk. The Rustic Sands enjoys waterfront access and all water sports are readily accessed from the grounds. Credit cards are accepted, and most RVs can be accommodated.

Indian Pass Campground

The Indian Pass Campground enjoys water access on almost all sides as it is truly a near total island campground. A small access road bridges the water for campers who want to rest at the grounds. Hook-ups include 30- and 50- amp electric, water, sewer and cable TV. Showers, private toilets, laundry room, and a swimming pool are all found on the grounds. Fishing charters, scuba, snorkeling, swimming, and surfing can be utilized right from the campground. Pets are welcome and seasonal rates are offered. Credit cards are accepted.

St. Joseph Peninsula State Park

St. Joseph Peninsula State Park is a beachfront Island campground run by the state of Florida. RVs can be accommodate with water, sewer, and electric 30- or 50- amp hook-ups. There are showers, ADA toilets, picnic and barbecue areas, and beach access from sites. Glass bottles are not allowed. Pets are allowed but need to be on leashes while in the park or on the state beach. Surfing, snorkeling, diving and fishing are accessed right from the campground. Reservations can be made on-line through reserveamerica.com.
