Restaurants in North Denver
North Denver is one of the premier locations for outdoor sports enthusiasts in Colorado. Visitors can go hiking in the Colorado Hills Open Space, fishing in Standley Lake or skiing in Eldora Mountain Resort, which is about an hour from North Denver. As all these activities can work up an appetite, it is good to know some local restaurants in the area.

Fuel Cafe

Fuel Cafe opened its doors in North Denver in 2008, and since then has been serving the community gourmet American and Continental cuisine. For lunch, diners can enjoy a selection of salads and sandwiches such as the lamb wrap, the Reuben sandwich, the chicken sandwich with yogurt and grapes, the berry salad and the hummus and akara salad with seasonal vegetables. The dinner menu is more expansive and has such items as gnocchi with candied squash, broiled flat iron steak, lobster cappelletti and serrano wrapped cod. There is a small dessert menu for dinner that includes Turkish coffee, chocolate cake and lemon spongecake. Diners should plan their meals accordingly, however, because Fuel Cafe is only open for lunch Monday through Thursday, and for dinner Thursday through Saturday.
