Grayland, Washington, is steeped in the sounds of tranquil waves and sassy seagulls. Located on the Washington coast, Grayland is the home of 18 miles of beautiful beaches. Visitors end each day exhausted. Families fly kites on the sands while charter boats take anglers out to the open sea to haul in the big catch. Barefooted children dig up clam with sticks. The waves challenge surfers and whale watchers on a boat trip spot a small herd of humpbacks. Each day ends with the hospitality of one of Grayland's top-notch motels.

Grayland Motel and Cottages

Grayland Motel and Cottages is surrounded by a beautiful stretch of sand dunes and beautiful beaches. A private trail leads guests to their oceanfront adventures. Children push the merry-go-round while the smell of barbecue cooking spreads throughout the covered picnic areas. The motel rooms are located 500 feet from shore while the cabins are only 1,500 feet away. Guests dig clams with the complimentary shovels and pails. The on-site fish cleaning station is equipped with an area to cook crabs. Most of the spacious rooms include a full kitchen and cable television. As of 2009, the room rates started at $55.

The Alaskan Motel

Located just south of Grayland, The Alaskan Motel is a cozy little coastal motel. It offers a wide range of reasonably priced room options. The "sleeping rooms" provide up to five guests. Extended stay guests love the full kitchens and queen size beds in the studios. Full-sized crews crash out in the two-room suites equipped with full kitchens and separate sleeping quarters. Larger groups enjoy the extra bathrooms in the cottage while the Guesthouse offers guests all the comforts of a two-bedroom home. All the rooms are equipped with cable television, coffee service, microwave, small fridge and free local phone calls.

Windjammer Motel

Located 15 minutes from Westport, the Windjammer Motel is a beachfront delight. The quaint rooms are decorated with coastal charm. Guests enjoy rooms stocked with modern amenities, including free WiFi, cable television, microwave, refrigerator and coffee pot. The motel is located near surfing, fishing, sand volleyball and other beach activities. Guests are within walking distance of espresso and restaurants. As of 2009, the room rates started at $45 per night for one person.
