Ann and Tony's - An Original Arthur Avenue Restaurant, established in 1927, is one of the oldest restaurants in the Bronx, and has been family-owned and operated for five generations. Ann and Tony's features authentic Italian cuisine in a casual, family-friendly environment, and also makes an ideal date location. Portions are large, and there is also a children's menu. Specialties include eggplant rollatine, penne alla vodka and chicken marsala. A variety of vegetarian entrees are also available. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week.

Emilia's Restaurant

Tourists visiting the New York Botanical Gardens should visit Emilia's Restaurant, an authentic Italian restaurant located just several blocks from the gardens. Authentic Italian cuisine, including fried calamari, pasta primavera, chicken parmigiana and veal marsala, are the specialties of the restaurant. Emilia's also offers an extensive wine and beer menu. The restaurant has a casual, family-friendly environment, with low lighting and spacious tables. Emilia's is open Tuesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner. Takeout is available, and reservations are suggested for weekend evenings.
