Kao Thai Cuisine
It is impossible to tell from the outside of this nondescript and unassuming building that that the inside is warm and inviting. The location is also out of the way, but worth a drive out to Thunderbolt for the authentic and freshly-prepared food. The spring rolls are light and not greasy; try the basil rolls, which are similar, but also filled with fresh basil leaves. The red curry duck is an outstanding choice, the Phad Thai is a solid choice and frequent diners rave about the satay.

The King and I
The King and I is visited for the authentic Thai cuisine and the friendly service. Any of the curries are a good choice for lunch or dinner, but the Massaman curry is a favorite and the spicy green curry adds a nice kick to a meal. There are several fresh seafood items that are nicely prepared and the crispy duck is sizzling and tender. The menu is large and varied, and includes some items hard to find elsewhere like baked spicy mussels and frog legs.

Ruan Thai Cuisine
This elegantly-appointed restaurant in the heart of Savannah's historic district is a favorite for special occasions or just a nice night out. The food is fresh, and while the main menu doesn't branch out too far from the standard favorites found in most Thai restaurants, it is all very well prepared. The Phad Thai is a favorite at Ruan Thai Cuisine. The restaurant does offer a specials menu that should be perused carefully, because that is where you will find some wonderful fresh fish entrees. The lemongrass chicken is popular and the appetizers are done well. Try the combination plate that includes satay, spring rolls, wontons and pot stickers.
