Bait Box
Known for its tender, lightly breaded crab cakes, the Bait Box seafood is only part of the draw: dining on the Delaware River near the Hancock Harbor Marina is the other. You can start your day at the Bait Box with a choice of homemade sticky buns, chopped beef and gravy or grits with home fries. Drop in for lunch or dinner, and try the deviled clams, Harbor Broiled Combination--flounder stuffed with shrimp, scallops, clam and crab--or shrimp scampi. Other options include grilled boneless chicken and broiled filet mignon. The restaurant is open seasonally.

An excellent alternative to fast-food and perfect for when you are on-the-go, the Bagelsmith Deli, a New Jersey chain, offers a variety of bagels, schmears, sandwiches and wraps, all made-to-order. Start your morning with a toasted bagel such as a pumpernickel or sesame bagel spread with one of their specialty schmears such as scallion cream cheese. (Note: there are light cream cheese alternatives). Or stop in for lunch and try a chicken wrap that comes with cheddar cheese, bacon, shredded lettuce and ranch dressing, which you can order on the side.
