Resorts in Bull Shoals, Arkansas
Those going to Bull Shoals, Ark., will want to know what the area is like and where they can stay. Bull Shoals is a community for fishing and lake activities. It isn't a big city, but it sits right on Bull Shoals Lake where the town makes most of its money. Tournaments are held there several times a year, and the lake is great for bass fishing. The area is very calm, too, as 70 percent of the population is retired. A few resorts within the area are good for the family and will make your stay in Bull Shoals very comfortable.

Cedar Springs Country Inn

The Cedar Springs Country Inn is a popular bed-and-breakfast that has three rooms. Two of those rooms have queen-size mattresses, while the other room has a king-size mattress. A room for the night gets a full-spread country breakfast for two the next morning. The main customers of this establishment are bikers (it has a garage simply for the bikes to be kept out of the weather), families who are visiting relatives in town and need a place to stay, or even lovers who just want to get away for the holiday. The rooms have handmade furniture, giving it a cabin feel, and free Wi-Fi. This lodge is also the newest in Bull Shoals, having opened in 2004.

Bel Arco

One of the older and more fine resorts in the Bull Shoals area is the Bel Arco. This historical resort has been around since the 1950s. Don't let the age fool you, though; as of 2009, the hotel is closed for the off season (winter) for remodeling. The summer months of June, July, and August are already booked full. The resort isn't just a hotel either; it has a restaurant and conference center as well. The resort is right on Bull Shoals Lake and has a great view. The resort isn't just for fishermen either; while the husband is out fishing, mom and kids will have plenty to do. Future renovations include a game room and cleaned up tennis court, and eventually the restaurant will start importing fresh cooked seafood (including lobsters) and steaks.

Gaston's White River Resort

Lakeview is a small town right on the other side of the Bull Shoals Dam. The Bull Shoals area encompasses a wide range of small towns on the shore of the Bull Shoals Lake. One of the biggest resorts in the Bull Shoals area is Gaston's. It is the largest resort in the entire area and, being right on the White River, makes it great for trout fishing. This area features several pink cabins right on the river and even has its own air landing strip for planes. Gaston's includes a restaurant, a conference center and lots of activities around the facility. It has an arcade and several wild birds to feed. Another great feature is its river options; it rents out boat equipment and has a full dock service.
