The Hudson Valley spans the distance along the Hudson River from the Tappan Zee Bridge near Tarrytown, New York northward to the capitol city of Albany. With endless vistas along the mile-wide river, the Hudson Valley offers a memorable stay for visitors. Castle on the Hudson is a medieval-style castle built over 100 years ago, overlooking the Hudson Valley. Hotels suites offer wood-burning fireplaces, marble bathrooms and views of the river. The nearby village of Tarrytown is the home of Washington Irving, author of "Rip Van Winkle" and "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow."

The Garrison

The Garrison offers beautiful views of the Hudson. This quaint, four-room inn offers several amenities generally found in large hotels, including king-size beds, goose-down duvets, thick linens, and pillows in soft, medium and firm. Millbrook Country House

Located in the heart of Dutchess County horse country, Millbrook Country House is a historic, renovated American Colonial home, decorated with fine Italian furnishings. A gourmet multi-course breakfast and afternoon tea are included in the hotel fees, and a special prix-fixe three-course dinner, with aperitif and digestif, is served on Friday nights, as of December 2009.
