After a relaxing day at the beach or a long day on the water fishing in Sea Isle, New Jersey, clean up, and head out for a nice dinner at one of many family-owned businesses offering fresh local seafood and other delectable fare. The following are a few of the locals' favorites.

Busch's Seafood Restaurant

Serving up gourmet dishes since 1882, Busch's Seafood Restaurant was awarded Best of the Shore by South Jersey magazine in 2007. The key to its success includes awarding-winning dishes such as George's Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes, Crab Soup and Deviled Crab, created with fresh local ingredients and seafood, in huge portions. Order a single dish entree, which includes salad, rolls, potato or vegetable, coleslaw and spiced apple ring. Or, order a combination entree with several of your favorite items, like shrimp, crab cakes, fish and scallops. Non-seafood lovers can indulge on prime rib, filet mignon, chicken or ham. A kids menu is available for kids age 12 and under, and kids eat free on Wednesdays. Entree prices range from $21 to $39. Live entertainment offered nightly.

Vince's Restaurant

Vince's Restaurant, located in Sea Isle City for over 50 years, offers scrumptious meals and a magnificent view of the beach and ocean. Opened by Vince and Annette Mollo in 1953, Vince's Restaurant was the second establishment they opened. The first was Vince's Submarine Shop, opened in 1946 with money won from a poker game aboard his ship while returning from Europe after World War II. Today, Vince's is a thriving business with Jim, Vince's grandson, now in the kitchen after attending the Academy of Culinary Arts at Atlantic County College. Jim serves up delicious fare, including Surf and Turf served with whole grain mustard, Chicken Bruschetta topped with mozzarella cheese and his specialty, crab cakes smothered with tomato compote. Also on the menu: veal, filet mignon, lobster tail, parmesan crusted tilapia, raviolis and much more. Meals range from $19 to $41. Early bird menu items are available for just under $15.

Braca Cafe

The Braca family has been a big contributor to Sea Isle City since the early 1900s, owning several businesses, including barber shops, grocery stores and Braca Cafe. Noted as one of the Top Ten Best Restaurants at the Jersey Shore in 2002, Braca Cafe serves tasty Crab Imperial, Grilled Scallops, Tuna Puttanesca and Prince Edward Island Mussels, to name a few specialty dishes. Those who do not like seafood can indulge on Veal Parmigiano, Sweet Italian Sausage, NY Strip and more. Vegetarian dishes are available. All meals come in full portions with various side dishes or in half portions with side dishes ordered a la cart. Prices range from $12 to $30.
