Nice Romantic Restaurants in Gatlinburg, Tennessee
The cozy mountain getaway town of Gatlinburg, Tennessee offers a warm, romantic retreat for visiting couples. With its easy access to nature and breathtaking natural scenery, Gatlinburg creates the ideal ambiance for a romantic escapade, mountain honeymoon or even a wedding in one of the town's many chapels. To help complete the romance, Gatlinburg is home to a number of top romantic restaurants.

Park Grill

This upscale mountain restaurant brings guests close to nature with wood décor, traditional but tasteful Appalachian craft decorations and a cozy, intimate atmosphere. According to the restaurant's official website, Park Grill founder Geoffrey Wolpert intended for Park Grill to offer a complete romantic package including delicious food and warm, romantic ambiance reminiscent of a mountain lodge. To reach this goal, the restaurant serves meats including chicken, steak and fresh caught trout grilled over real Tennessee hickory woods for a taste characteristic of a premium Southern establishment. The Park Grill welcomes guests every day of the week beginning at 5:00pm, and the restaurant opens a half hour early on Saturday to accommodate large weekend crowds. Despite the establishment's popularity, Park Grill does not accept reservations, but management encourages guests to take advantage of the "call ahead seating" service available starting one hour before the restaurant opens.

The Peddler

Long considered the premier romantic steakhouse in the Gatlinburg area, The Peddler welcomes guests with one of the most intimate and atmospheres available in the region. All wood décor and mountain crafted seating give way to a glass wall on the rear of the restaurant that allows guests to overlook one of the most pristine natural beauties in town. While enjoying the view, guests receive a visit from the Steak Peddler who takes orders and creates custom cuts of steak right at the table. On top of the warm, welcoming service and romantic ambiance, The Peddler also offers a salad bar renowned for its wide array of fresh offerings and rich, tasty dressings. Those still hungry after enjoying the salad bar and entrée can also choose to end their experience with one of The Peddler's decadent desserts, many of which arrive in large enough portions for two to comfortably share. For an extra touch of romance, be sure to purchase a rose from the rose peddler as she makes her rounds.

Alamo Steakhouse

Despite its outward appearance as a western-themed steak restaurant, Alamo Steakhouse has earned its reputation as one of the most romantic destinations in the Smoky Mountain area. Appetizing offerings like top chicken, seafood and chicken contribute to the romantic appeal, but the real romance becomes evident in the restaurant's "Romantic Dining" packages. Alamo Steakhouse's "Love Nests" provide couples a secluded, tastefully decorated table tucked away in the quietest and most private areas of the restaurant; couples enjoying the love nests enjoy dedicated service and dedicated romance selections that include black angus steaks, fillet mignon, warm yeast rolls and fresh garden salads. All of these factors helped Alamo Steakhouse achieve the Sevier County, Tennessee rating of "Best Overall Restaurant in the County" for 2002, 2006 and 2009, and couples dining at the restaurant can enjoy the knowledge that the restaurant has remained under local management since 1999.
