The kadhai special features chicken breast, tomatoes, green peppers and exotic spices slowly cooked in a traditional clay pot. Vegetarians may want to try sarso ka saag, a Punjabi dish made with finely minced mustard leaves mixed with coriander, fresh ginger and spices.

Centrally located in downtown Surrey, Ravi Bar and Grill serves up authentic Indian cuisine with a sports-bar vibe. The menu focuses on a number of southern Indian specialties with a nod toward tandoori baked meats and fish. Their reshmi kebab, comprised of boneless pieces of chicken breast marinated in yogurt and fresh ginger, is a popular choice, as is their signature dish, lamb tikka, which is cooked with traditional spices over an open fire.

Mayuri Indian Cuisine

Mayuri is a casual, budget friendly restaurant that prepares authentic foods from Northern and Southern India. The menu features a variety of dosas--crepes made with different lentil flours stuffed with any number of ingredients and served with sambar and chutney. Also popular are utappam, which are thick pancake breads topped with vegetables, sauces and curries. Mayuri is vegetarian and vegan friendly.
