The Wensleydale Heifer
The Wensleydale Heifer is located in a 17th-century coaching inn between the villages of Hawes and Leyburn. The hotel has nine guest rooms decorated in a theme and named after something for which Wensleydale is known. The James Herriot room (named after a famous British author and veterinarian from Wensleydale) and the Black Sheep (named after a local ale) are just two of them.
