Visitors to the area can explore one of the 14 parks located in Freehold, roller blade or skateboard at the Michael J. Tighe skate park or cool off on a hot summer day at the splash pad and splash pool. The area is also home to a number of restaurants.

Metropolitan Cafe

The Metropolitan Cafe is a contemporary eatery that features neutral decor throughout. The cafe interior consists of variegating shades of tan and clean, architectural lines, creating a relaxing dining setting. The restaurant offers a sushi bar and Pacific Rim-inspired menu. The extensive menu changes regularly and consists of a wide array of contemporary flavor combinations. Many of the menu items were created with health in mind and are low in fat and high in healthful nutrients. The restaurant also features a wine list with a wide array of red and white wines, many available by the bottle or by the glass. Guests can enjoy drinks with their meal or in the in-house lounge. Live music is frequently featured in the lounge on select evenings throughout the year. Outdoor dining is available seasonally on the brick patio that surrounds the restaurant front. The restaurant offers dinner daily, lunch Monday through Saturday and late-night entertainment and dining Thursday to Saturday. The hours of the Metropolitan Cafe vary seasonally.

Federici's Family Italian Restaurant

Federici's Family Italian Restaurant has been a Freehold, New Jersey, staple for over 85 years. Mom and Pop Federici began the restaurant shortly after immigrating from Italy in 1921. The establishment has moved through the family ever since. The restaurant currently holds three dining rooms, which can seat up to 275 comfortably, as well as a full-service bar and a patio dining area. The family-friendly menu features dishes that range from grilled cheese to piccata. The eclectic menu contains a wide selection of handmade pizzas and pastas as well as traditional American cuisine. Guests enjoy dining on the patio during the spring and summer months or relaxing in the lounge adjacent to the bar area. The restaurant does not accept credit cards. Diners can sample the food at Federici's from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Monday to Wednesday, 11:30 a.m. to 11:15 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 12 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Sunday

Court Jester

The Court Jester offer classic American favorites in an atmosphere reminiscent of a rousing English pub. The large bar takes center stage in the dining area. Dark wood, exposed brick and eclectic decorations are featured throughout the eating area. The restaurant has been in operation for more than 30 years. Patrons can select from 30 on-tap beers as well as a full bar menu of cocktails. The dining menu features variations on classic burgers, fries and chicken wings. Carry-out and catering are both available. Visitors can enjoy the food at The Court Jester from 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. seven days a week.
