Barquet

Barquet has been owned by the Sole family for over 100 years. The restaurant specializes in Romesco sauce, a sauce traced back to a recipe from the Romans, made from garlic, nuts fried bread, and local chiles. Romesco sauce is featured in every entree in the restaurant, including paella with fresh tuna and squid, mushroom carpaccio, and monkfish and tomato stew.

AQ Restaurant

Close to the 12th century cathedral, Cathedral de Santa Maria, and within walking distance of the town center, AQ restaurant serves regional cuisine with a modern twist. The husband-and-wife team specialize in seafood dishes such as fresh tuna belly with caramelized onions, tomatoes, goat cheese and olives and sea bass with sepia noodles and tarragon. Cocvla Restaurant

A reasonably priced locals' favorite, Cocvla means casserole in Latin. Cocvla specializes in recreating local classics, such as home-style cannelloni, rice and vegetables, cuttlefish and pea stew, and fresh tuna with Romesco sauce. To complement the traditional dishes, Cocvla only serves Tarragona wines, and it is a great place to sample wines from the local wineries. La Puda

The oceanfront restaurant, La Puda, is a perfect choice for fresh fish lovers. Located in the old fishing district of Serrabo, next to the fish market, La Puda's menu revolves around fresh seafood, with a light Mediterranean twist, and a wine list dominated by Catalonian labels.
