Hikers and walkers can enjoy Acadiana Park, a 42-acre nature preserve that features miles of trails and wooded forests. In addition, hikers, bird watchers and nature enthusiasts will enjoy Acadiana Park Nature Station, a facility that helps acclimate humans with the surrounding wilderness. Deano's Pizza

Deano's Pizza is located in downtown Lafayette. This restaurant specializes in homemade pizzas with freshly made doughs and their own house-made sauces. All pizzas have a Cajun flair, and specialty pizzas include the Tee Rex--a combination of pepperoni, Canadian bacon, smoked sausage and Italian sausage--and the Cajun Canaille, which features shrimp, Louisiana smoked sausage and jalapeno peppers. A vegetable pizza with mushrooms, purple onions, bell peppers and olives is also available. The restaurant contains three dining rooms, a waiting room and a bar. The atmosphere in Deano's Pizza is casual and family-friendly with generously sized tables that can accommodate even the largest gathering. Outdoor seating is also available.

Bisbano's Pizza Parlor

This restaurant specializes in unique pizzas, including the Carnivore Krunch, which features beef sausage, pepperoni and Canadian bacon, along with the Shoot The Moon pizza, a pie full of onions, green peppers, jalapeno peppers, mushrooms and Canadian bacon. Bisbano's also offers spaghetti and meatballs, vegetable lasagna and shrimp or chicken fettuccine platters. The atmosphere is casual and family-friendly with large tables and bright lighting. Bisbano's is open for lunch and dinner Monday through Friday and for dinner on Saturdays.

Pizza Village

The Pizza Village specializes in thin, crispy crust pizzas and offers a variety of toppings. Established nearly thirty years ago, this restaurant offers a casual, family-friendly atmosphere. You can dine in, carry out, or have your order delivered if you are staying nearby. Reservations are suggested for Friday and Saturday evenings. The Pizza Village also offers salads, pasta dishes and sandwiches.
