Bamboo Garden
This restaurant doesn't have just Chinese but Thai and Japanese dishes, as well. While you can get the basic Chinese options like spring rolls and sesame chicken, you can also enjoy Japanese delights like sushi and Thai foods like spicy curry. This small restaurant is also just a few blocks from multiple Cook County forest preserves. Take a hike just north of Bamboo Garden to Nelson Woods, or head east to the expansive hiking trails at the St. Mihiel Reservation.

Dragon Palace
Slightly more expensive than a buffet restaurant, Dragon Palace is authentic Chinese cuisine with an undeniably Chinese atmosphere. It also gives larger portions than most other Chinese restaurants, which is part of the reason why the prices might be a few dollars more than a typical Chinese takeout place. Just east of Dragon Palace is Memorial Park, Vogt Woods Park and Yankee Woods in the Cook County Forest Preserve. Keep you eyes peeled for white-tailed deer all over this area.

New China Buffet
Like most Chinese buffets, the New China Buffet offers a large selection of food that ranges from crab legs to French fries. You can eat as much food as you can handle, but don't eat too much or you'll get a stomachache. This is probably the best economic choice that you can make for Chinese at this all-you-can-eat smorgasbord in Tinley Park. If you head southwest from New China Buffet, you will find Centennial Park, which features a 12-acre stocked lake for fishing, sports facilities, picnic areas, playgrounds and bike trails.
