RV Campsites in Seward, Alaska

RV Campsites in Seward, Alaska
Seward, Alaska's official tourist tagline is "Alaska Starts Here," and for good reason. Located just 120 miles outside Anchorage, Seward offers nearly unparalleled sporting opportunities. Whether you prefer fishing for king salmon, hiking, kayaking, ice climbing or racing up a steep mountain trail, Seward truly provides something for everyone. Easily accessible via the developed Seward Highway, Seward is a favorite spot for RV enthusiasts of all ages.

Seward City Campground

What the Seward City Campground lacks in amenities is more than made up in location and scenic vistas. Located directly on the waterfront but only steps from downtown, the Seward City Campground offers 99 sites with electric and water hookups as well as dozens of dry camping sites. Officially, stays are limited by city code to 14 nights. However, different sections of the campground have different official names, and campers are permitted to spend an additional 14 nights if they move to a new section.

Sites are close together, and many are little more than parking spaces. Fire rings are plentiful, although not all sites have picnic tables. A dump station is located inside the campground. Flush toilets and pay showers are provided, although bathhouses are spread out and may be difficult to locate. Wireless Internet is not available. Many sites are shaded and all are level. A bike path and a hiking path run behind the park. Virtually all of Seward's attractions are within easy walking distance. All sites are first come, first served.
