The Fire House

As its name suggests, the Fire House's building was once home to a working fire station. The historic Hope Station was built in 1871 and operated until 1980. Today, it is the oldest existing firehouse in Harrisburg, and the second oldest in Pennsylvania. The restaurant serves a variety of selections, while still capturing the look and feel of the original building. The original architecture has been maintained and restored, including most of the façade's original brickwork. Specialties include the "Hook & Ladder" (a six-ounce lobster tail and a half rack of baby back ribs) and horseradish encrusted Chilean sea bass.
