The town of West Caldwell in Essex County, N.J., is a place where you can dine in various restaurants and participate in a number of outdoor activities that the whole family can enjoy. Trails for biking, walking and running are located at Memorial Park and Grover Cleveland Park. West Essex Park also has a trail, and you can go boating or fishing there. Other recreational areas have multi-purpose fields, playgrounds, tennis courts and picnic areas.

At Good Earth Potato, you can build your own potato or order one of the restaurant's signature potatoes. Signature potatoes include grilled chicken Caesar, Buffalo chicken, barbecue chicken, grilled vegetables, broccoli and cheese, beef stew, sloppy Joe and meat loaf. You can also create your own salad by choosing from a variety of fresh ingredients, and you can choose your own salad dressing.

Wazman Indian Restaurant serves Kashmiri cuisine. The restaurant serves appetizers, accompaniments, non-vegetarian and vegetarian dishes, and bread and rice specialties. Appetizers include vegetable samosa, pakora and chicken tika. Accompaniments include homemade low-fat yogurt with chickpea flour dumplings and an assortment of lentil soups. Non-vegetarian dishes include rista, which is lamb sausages cooked in red sauce, and gushtaba, which is minced lamb/meatballs cooked in tangy white sauce.
