Kohinoor Indian Restaurant

Despite its location in the middle of the Altamonte Springs hubbub just north of Orlando, the atmosphere at Kohinoor is peaceful and warm. This restaurant is popular with locals and offers a menu full of traditional Indian selections, including curry dishes, Tandoor choices and a variety of naan. Kohinoor serves delicious food with outstanding service, which is probably why the Orlando Sentinel named Kohinoor its "critic's choice" for best Indian restaurant in 2009.

Kohinoor features a lunch buffet from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and is open for dinner from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. On Fridays and Saturdays, the restaurant stays open until 10:30 p.m. It is closed on Mondays.

Tabla Bar & Grill

Tabla Bar & Grill features Indian cuisine with a gourmet flair. The restaurant sits just off International Drive in the heart of Orlando's famous tourist attractions. The kitchy gift shop welcomes diners upon entering, and the dining room is comfortable and inviting. The food at Tabla earns rave reviews from locals and visitors, offering Indian staples, as well as a few surprises not ordinarily found in every Indian restaurant.

The convenient location makes Tabla a good option for visitors staying near SeaWorld, Universal Studios or the Walt Disney World Resort. Tabla serves a daily lunch buffet from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., and dinner is served from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
