The Brooklyn Seafood, Steak & Oyster House
The steaks are good at The Brooklyn, but you want to eat here for the variety of oysters, particularly during happy hour when they come on the half shell for a dollar each. At any other time, you can't go wrong with the Penn Cove mussels, whether they are just steamed or part of a bouillabaisse. The scallops, calamari and black cod are all solid and consistently good dishes, the Dungeness crab salad is loaded with crab and if you go for lunch, the blackened salmon sandwich is a winner. Lunch is served Monday through Friday and happy hour and dinner are available every night of the week. The restaurant is located downtown across from Benaroya Hall, making it popular to symphony goers.

Chandler's Crabhouse
The incredible view from Chandler's Crabhouse, located in the South Lake Union neighborhood on the shores of the lake, includes the Space Needle, Gas Works Park, plenty of boats, and float planes taking off and landing on Lake Union. People love it for the view, but the food brings them back. As the name implies, you can't go wrong with any of the crab dishes, from the large Alaskan King Crab legs to the creamy whiskey crab soup. The smoked salmon Caesar salad, perfectly spiced and chunky crab cakes and the lobster macaroni and cheese are highly recommended. The restaurant is open every day for lunch, happy hour and dinner, and offers a good weekend brunch.

Six Seven
Legendary rock band The Beatles put Seattle's Edgewater Hotel on the map by staying the night there in 1964 and fishing out their hotel room window. The hotel is built on a pier over Puget Sound on the downtown waterfront, and the hotel restaurant, Six Seven, has a spectacular view of the city skyline and the boats plying the waters of Elliott Bay. The restaurant is well known for fresh and simply prepared seafood, and the Alaskan halibut and wild salmon are solid choices. The hamachi appetizer and the Penn Cove mussels are excellent starts to a meal. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day, and you will even find salmon and crab in various dishes on the breakfast menu along with the standard fare.
