Open in 1990, Ella's concentrates on classical American cuisine and serves some of the best all-American breakfasts in the city. The restaurant makes almost everything from scratch, including bread, muffins, croissants, coffee cakes and more. For a breakfast that's guaranteed to give you some energy, try the old-fashioned oatmeal with cranberries, corned beef hash with eggs, brandied orange French toast or a fresh fruit plate. Ella's also serves mochas, lattes, espressos and a selection of organic teas. The restaurant serves breakfast everyday from 7 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and brunch on Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Town's End Restaurant and Bakery

Town's End Restaurant is an Open Table.com's 2009 Diners' Choice award winner. Open since 1991, the restaurant is known for its extensive breakfast menu, as well as its homemade breads, muffins and croissants. Before you set out for a day kayaking, try the homemade granola, vegetarian apple sage sausage omelette, banana walnut pancakes or wild Alaskan Sockeye salmon bagel with potato pancakes. Town's End Restaurant is close to the Embarcadero in San Francisco and serves breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. everyday and Sunday brunch from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
