Steak 'n Shake
This restaurant began in 1934. What makes it unique is that steaks are ground up to make the burgers. At the beginning this was done in front of customers. According to its website, this is where the famous saying "In sight it must be right" caught on. The menu is very similar to many typical burger places, but the burgers themselves are made from steak. Hand-dipped milkshakes are a good addition to any of the burgers. Butterfinger, peanut butter cup, banana split and double chocolate fudge are a few of the many flavors. You can always make your own creation. If you are desiring something lighter, it offers fruit smoothies, including very berry strawberry and very berry raspberry. Chili and sandwiches are also available.
