Omaha, Nebraska, is one of the fastest growing cities in the Midwest and is set to have more people in the metropolitan area than Kansas City by 2012. There are so many activities for the outdoor enthusiast in Omaha, including the well-known Omaha zoo. The favorite two steak restaurants in Omaha are Drover's and Brother Sebastian's.

Drover's

Known for the whiskey steak, Drover's Restaurant and Lounge is an old-school steak house with a menu featuring delicacies all less than $40 (2009 prices). Customers say "Don't even open the menu, just order the whiskey steak." Other items on the menu are the trail boss prime rib and steak and crab comb. Drover's also provides customers with an affordable and tasty lunch featuring soups, salads and burgers. Drover's is open for lunch Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner begins at 5 p.m. nightly. Reservations are suggested, and all major credit cards are accepted.

Brother Sebastian's

Brother Sebastian's Steakhouse is locally owned and operated and boasts offering guests a feel of the early California monastery--even the waiters and waitresses are dressed in hooded frocks like monks. Brother Sebastian's also prides itself in offering both intimate rooms with fireplaces and larger rooms that are perfect for groups. Only USDA Choice Nebraska beef is served here, and many locals consider Brother Sebastian's one of the most traditional and classic steak houses in Omaha. Since the grand opening in 1977, Brother Sebastian's has received many awards and accolades from local press and restaurant critics. The steak restaurant has been recognized by the Omaha World Herald on more than one occasion as well as the Omaha City Weekly Review. The lunch menu features items such as a prime rib sandwich, a club sandwich and coconut shrimp. The dinner menu at Brother Sebastian's offers delicacies such as the sirloin Sebastian, the chicken cordon bleu and the chateaubriand for two. There is also an extensive wine list and full bar.

Omaha Prime

Omaha Prime is an Omaha steak restaurant that serves clientele only USDA prime grade beef. Located in the popular and trendy Old Market area of downtown Omaha, the Omaha Prime Steakhouse also has a heated patio, which is cigar friendly and perfect for a small get together or after-work drinks at happy hour. The restaurant also boasts an extensive wine list. In addition to steaks, Omaha Prime offers a selection of chicken and seafood entrees.
