Sun City West is a relatively new community in suburban Phoenix, Arizona. Sun City West emerged after Del Webb created the community of Sun City and then the city experienced growing pains in the 1970s. The area that Sun City and Sun City West was created from had been a cotton-producing region prior to the cities' development. Sun City West is located near Phoenix shopping, restaurants, art galleries, hiking, and mountain biking.

Donorma RV Park

Calling itself an "Oasis in the Desert," The Donorma is a small, but full-service RV park. Geared toward the age 55 and older crowd, the Donorma is equipped to handle RVs of most sizes and has full hook-ups. Hook-ups include 30- or 50- amp electric, water, sewer, and cable TV. In addition to the hook-ups, guests can find showers, barbecue grills, green sites with shade trees, and pet run areas. Dogs are welcome but need to be leashed unless in the pet play area. The location is close to Major League Baseball spring training camps. There is a laundry facility and dump station on the grounds for guest convenience.

Paradise RV Park

Specializing in offering monthly and seasonal rates to guests 55 years or older, the Paradise RV Park feels more like a community than a typical RV park. All hook-ups come with sites and include 30- or 50- amp electric, sewer, water, cable TV, and Wi-Fi. Large RVs can be accommodated with pull-through sites. Pets are welcome. The Paradise has rates that help you save the longer you stay. Guests enjoy laundry, swimming pool, picnic areas, green park, and a club house. Activities include swimming, dancing, exercise classes, ceramics, horseshoes, a wood shop, and shuffleboard. There are weekly dances and group meals. Organized walks and hikes are also staples at Paradise RV Park.

Mesa/Apache KOA

A few minutes from downtown Sun City West is the Mesa/Apache KOA. All sizes of RVs can be accommodated here with pull-through and back-in sites. Slide-out RVs are welcome. Hook-ups include 20-, 30-, or 50- amp electric, water, sewer, cable TV, and Wi-Fi. Guests enjoy a backdrop of the Superstition Mountains. On-site amenities include showers and private toilets, guest house, picnic area and tables, coin-operated laundry facility, and a game room. Pets are allowed but need to remain on leash while in the park. All major credit cards are accepted and AAA and Good Sam club discounts are offered to members. The Mesa/Apache KOA is close to baseball spring training camps, and to hiking and biking trails in the Superstition Mountains.
