RV Park Campsites in Golden, Colorado

For RVers who are headed to the Colorado Rockies, Denver is a great starting point. On your way out of town and up to the mountains, you can stop in historic Golden, which is home to the Coors Brewery, Clear Creek and a plethora of small museums. You can park your RV at one of these campgrounds and head in to town for a little western history and some interesting sightseeing.

Clear Creek RV Park

Situated in the heart of Golden, Clear Creek RV Park is a small campground owned and operated by the city. Located on the banks of Clear Creek, in summer the campground is shaded by cottonwood trees and provides numerous recreation activities on the water. With easy access to Eldorado State Park and Golden Gate Canyon State Park, this campground is a great home base for exploring the foothills. Open year-round, Clear Creek RV Park has only 33 sites, so you need to make reservations.

Dakota Ridge RV Park

Located on the southern end of town, Dakota Ridge provides a spacious and convenient location to establish yourself while investigating Denver and the foothills. This campground is at the base of several open space parks, placing you adjacent to hiking and biking. The park offers over 100 full hook-up sites.

Chief Hosa Campground

About 15 minutes outside of Golden in Genesee Park, Chief Hosa Campground offers a more rural setting. Open only in the summer, the Chief Hosa Lodge is the oldest standing stagecoach stop in Colorado.

Golden Terrace RV Resort

With easy access to Interstate 70, Golden Terrace RV Resort is a good spot for those wanting to stay a while in Colorado's front range. The park is particularly well-suited for fifth wheels and smaller campers, Golden Terrace recommends you call ahead for availability if you're driving a larger unit.
