Bicycle Tours of Sicily

Bicycle Tours of Sicily
Sicily is the largest island in the Mediterranean and is filled with ancient historical ruins, such as the Necropolis of Pantalica, Baroque churches and scenic valleys. One of the best ways to see Sicily and experience its culture is to take a bicycle tour. There are many companies that offer guided and unguided tours of Sicily, depending on your preference.

Cycling Safaris

Cycling Safaris offers guided and self-guided tours around Sicily. It is a weeklong tour that begins on the coast, in the small village Scopella. From Scopella, cyclists tour along the coastline, through the towns of Erice and Marsala as well as through Marsala's vineyards, where visitors can sample some of the local wine. During the middle of the trip, the tour veers away from the coast and toward Palermo. Visitors pass through more towns and villages in Sicily before finishing in Monreale, with its cathedral and Norman architecture. The tour includes accommodation, breakfast and two dinners along the way, as well as a 24-speed bike and transfers from Palermo airport.
