Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in New Orleans is the birth place of this fine dining chain of steakhouses. Charlie's Steakhouse

Charlie's Steakhouse has been a neighborhood joint since 1932 but was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina in 2005 only to re-open again in 2007. This casual dining experience is a relaxing environment where guests can sit back and just enjoy the steak. This restaurant is so laid back there are no menus. Guests only have to describe their cut of meat and how they want it cooked. Signature steaks at this New Orleans steakhouse are a 22 oz. T-Bone, the filet and "The Charlie," which is a 32 oz. T-Bone. Try the potatoes au gratin or fries along with something from the bar and relax. Come to Charlie's right off the river bank after fishing. Local hunters or hikers from the nearby swamps also are welcome with muddy boots and all.
