The Borough of Sea Girt, New Jersey, is a place where you can participate in many outdoor activities. You can go biking, jogging or walking along the shore or charter a boat for sightseeing or fishing, or go surfing on Sea Girt beach. You can also go canoeing or fishing on the Manasquan River, which winds through Allaire State Park, or go parasailing, kayaking and jet skiing in Point Pleasant Beach. Back in Sea Girt, go shopping, enjoy the night life and have dinner in various restaurants.

Fratello's Restaurant & Lounge

Fratello's Restaurant & Lounge is a full-service facility with a lunch menu that includes soup, salad, appetizer, panini and pasta starters with seafood, veal, chicken, steaks and chops entrees. You can order rolled stuffed eggplant, grilled salmon, fried calamari, linguine with clams, veal Caruso and oysters on the half shell. The dinner menu involves more of the same or other choices in bigger portions. An Early Bird menu is available Monday through Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m., on Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Catering services are offered on the premises and off-site. The restaurant is wheelchair-accessible and offers takeout as well. Happy Hour with drinks specials occurs on Monday to Friday from 3 to 6 p.m. Operating hours are on Monday to Friday from 3 to 11:30 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 11:30 p.m.

Scarborough Fair

Scarborough Fair is located on five acres of land and serves contemporary American cuisine. For lunch you can order appetizers such as crispy calamari, steamed New Jersey clams and melted Cajun shrimp. Lunch entrees include chicken portobello, petit filet mignon and seafood cannelloni. Among appetizers on the dinner menu are peppered crusted ahi tuna, bacon wrapped wild shrimp and grilled veal sausages; followed by entrees like wild mushroom ravioli, flounder St. Moritz and New Zealand baby rack of lamb. Soups and salads are also served for both lunch and dinner. Several private rooms are available for special occasions with different banquet menus to choose from. Operating hours for dinner on Tuesday to Thursday are 4:30 to 9 p.m., on Friday and Saturday from 4:30 to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from 3 to 9 p.m. Scarborough Fair is open for lunch on Tuesday to Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Harrigan's Pub

Harrigan's Pub is an Irish pub that serves fresh seafood, steak, chops and pasta entrees as well as burgers, sandwiches, wraps and salads. This inn is known for its famous "Sizzling Sliced Steak Sandwich," which has been served for over 25 years. Diners flock to all-you-can-eat ribs Tuesdays and other nightly specials. During the weekends, Harrigan's puts out a shrimp and clam bar from 3 to 6 p.m. Every Sunday you can enjoy brunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., when you can make your own omelet and pair you meal with a Bloody Mary, Mimosa or Screwdriver. Harrigan's is open daily.
