Irish Restaurants in Kansas City

Irish Restaurants in Kansas City
In the late nineteenth century, as Kansas City rose to prominence as a hub for rail, cattle and agriculture, Irish immigrants arrived to find work and forge a community. Today this bustling city, rich with scenic river bluffs, lush parks and gardens, world-class museums, tree-lined boulevards and dancing fountains, boasts one of the largest St Patrick's Day parades in the country. However, it is possible to taste the city's Irish flavor any time of the year by visiting the following restaurants.

Llywelyn's Pub

Llywelyn's Pub opened in St. Louis in 1975 and grew to count many visitors from Kansas City among its fans. In 2007, it branched out to Overland Park, a suburb of Kansas City and home to many prominent businesses and residents. The restaurant celebrates food and drink rooted in the cultures of Ireland, Scotland and Wales with menu choices like bangers and mashe, cabbage rolls and shepherd's pie.
