Milton Keynes is a city in southeast England, around an hour's drive north of London, making it a wonderful base from which to explore the surrounding countryside. Cycle along the banks of the Grand Union Canal that runs through the city. Hike in Aspley Woods. Go canoeing on Caldecotte Lake. Milton Keynes has more than 4,500 acres of parkland, including Campbell Park, an ideal place for a stroll or a picnic. The city itself has boutiques, medieval abbey ruins, art galleries and village pubs as well as several hotels for short- or long-term stays.
