Stars of Thai Cuisine is a casual restaurant located in the heart of Markham on Highway 7. The owners consider educating diners on Thai cuisine to be part of the dining experience and take pains to explain where menu items originate and what ingredients are used. Each dish on the extensive menu becomes a story, and we learn that pad ped talay ("pad" means stir fried and "talay" means seafood) is a favorite dish in the southern region of Thailand that combines the use of abundant fresh seafood and spicy local basil.
