The Burn How Garden House Hotel is a few minutes walk from the center of Bowness, situated in its own extensive gardens. The hotel is family-owned and offers a variety of guest rooms in the main building, in one of three other buildings or in individual guest chalets in the gardens. Whichever you choose, each of them features en-suite bath, TV, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and most have a private balcony. Breakfast is included in the room rate. The Hydro Hotel

One of the oldest hotels on Windermere, The Hydro Hotel is so named as, in the 19th century, it was where guests stayed when they came to Bowness to get a water cure. Standard, balcony and family rooms plus a honeymoon suite are available, with each room featuring en-suite bath, TV, beverage-making facilities and the room rate including a full cooked English breakfast.
