Pomodoro Italian Restaurant & Bar

Located in the Proctor neighborhood of downtown Tacoma, Pomodoro Italian Restaurant and Bar offers a "casual and comfortable atmosphere" with sidewalk tables and an open kitchen. Lunch offerings include appetizers such as crab and artichoke dip, salads, minestrone soup, sandwiches, wraps, pasta, and chicken entrees. Dinner selections expand the lunch menu by adding more entrees such as halibut, cioppino, pork chops, and steak. A children's menu is available and takeout orders are welcome. Pomodoro is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 12 until 8 p.m., serving dinner only.

Joeseppi's Italian Ristorante & Deli

Joeseppi's, owned by local legend Joe Stortini, is a family-owned restaurant, bar and Italian-style deli all under one roof. Lunch options include appetizers, salads, build-your-own pasta with homemade sauces, sandwiches, steak or salmon entrees, and pizza. The dinner menu offers expanded entree selections such as veal parmigiana and seafood fettuccine. A children's menu is always available, whole wheat pasta is served upon request, and a pasta delivery service is offered. Behind the deli counter, selections include sliced meats and cheeses, meatballs, sausages, breads and vegetables, and an extensive deli menu offers sandwiches and pizza for takeout. Dining hours are 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with Friday and Saturday nights staying open until 10 p.m., and Sundays dinner is served noon to 8 p.m.
