Hawkshead is a village in the Lake District National Park in Cumbria, England. A popular destination for mountain bikers, hikers and walkers, Hawkshead is close to trails, moorland, lakes and rivers. Hike the six miles around Tarn Hows, mountain bike in Grizedale Forest Park or walk the Lake Windermere shoreline. Hawkshead itself has historic churches, quaint shops, art galleries, local cafes and restaurants as well as several excellent hotel choices.

Queen's Head Hotel

Located in the village center of Hawkshead close to where the author Beatrix Potter lived, the Queen's Head Hotel offers traditional English inn accommodation with modern conveniences. Each of the hotel's guest rooms feature en suite bath, some have four poster beds and many lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Ivy House Hotel

Ivy House Hotel is a small independently-owned hotel located in a Georgian house in the center of Hawkshead. Its six guest rooms are decorated in traditional English style and all have en suite bathroom, central heating, TV and beverage trays. A full cooked traditional English breakfast is included in the room rate. The Ivy House restaurant also serves lunch and dinner concentrating on typical British pub meals. King's Arms Hotel

The King's Arms Hotel is a 500-year old British coaching inn situated in the main square in Hawkshead. The hotel's nine guest rooms boast traditional decor but modern conveniences all with en suite bath and with a choice of single, double or twin rooms.
