Banff Springs
The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel opened in 1888. Choose to stay here and you will be transported into a luxurious, castle-like setting with impressive views and service. Located across the Bow River from the main part of town, the Banff Springs offers the Stanley Thompson golf course, Willow Stream Spa and equestrian center. It is a popular destination for weddings and offers more than 10 dining outlets. Guest Services at Banff Springs offers baby sitting, bell staff, laundry services, valet parking, ski storage and much more.
Banff Hostel
The HI Banff Alpine Center Hostel offers free Internet access and a local bus transit pass. Compared to many other hostels, this one is more like a grand lodge with a large vaulted-beam construction common room with a fireplace and plenty of common tables. Outside the hostel has a man-made 40-foot-tall ice wall so you can practice your skills with your ice tools before you head out and climb. The hostel also offers private cabins. If you are looking for a more natural, and less expensive way to experience Banff, then this is a good option.
Others
There are many other hotels, lodges and condos available including the Rimrock Resort Hotel, Blue Mountain Lodge Bed and Breakfast, Homestead Inn and The Banff Aspen Lodge. There is also seasonal camping at Two Jack Lake Campground and Tunnel Mountain Village.
