Sand City is surrounded by the larger community of Seaside, near Monterey, California. A charming little town, Sand City enjoys coastal views, mild climate and a growing artists' community on the outskirts of town. Many shops and restaurants are located in the Sand City area, as well as ample beach combing, surfing and boating.

Carmel by the River RV Park

Calling itself the "Monterey Peninsula's Best-Kept Secret," the Carmel by the River RV park offers guests a stunning location with full amenities. Hook-ups at the sites include 30- or 50-amp electric, water, sewer, and cable TV. Wi-Fi is available for guest use throughout most of the premises. RVs of most sizes can be accommodated via pull-through and back-in sites. Slide-outs can be handled. Pets are welcome but need to remain on leash while in the park. Reservations are encouraged any time between Memorial Day and Labor Day and holiday weekends. Guests can enjoy on-site hot showers, private toilets, barbecue grills, fire rings, picnic areas, a guest room with games, coin-operated laundry, and a small general store.

Marina Dunes RV Park

A few minutes from Sand City is the Marina Dunes RV Park. Winner of many accolades, including the Park of the Year from "Best of the West" Magazine for 2005, the Marina is a choice park for RV visitors. Full hook-up sites can handle RVs to 40 feet. Hook-ups include water, sewer, cable TV, Wi-Fi and 30- or 50-amp electric. The Marina Dunes is only minutes from Pebble Beach Golf Club and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. On-site amenities include picnic tables, BBQ grills, propane service, showers, and beach access. Pets are allowed on leash and credit cards are accepted.

Moss Landing KOA

Up the coast and a few minutes from downtown Sand City is the Moss Landing KOA. Offering a full range of services, the KOA is a comfortable option for RV guests. All hook-ups are included (water, sewer, 20,- 30- or 50-amp electric, cable TV and Wi-Fi.) All sizes of RV can be accommodated, including those with slide-outs. Pull-through and back-in sites are available. Pets are allowed but need to remain on leash. AAA and Good Sam Club discounts are offered to club members and all major credit cards are taken. Amenities on site include hot showers, private toilets, barbecue grills, fire rings, playground and arcade, guest room with kitchen facilities, picnic tables, and coin-operated laundry. Reservations are recommended during the summer months and holiday weekends.
