Jekyll Island, in Glynn County off the coast of Georgia, is an island retreat celebrated for its pristine beaches and dunes, shelling, live oak forests, tidal marshes, unusual wildlife, and historic district featuring nearly 40 archaeological sites.

In 1888 the Du Bignon family established the Jekyll Island Club, an exclusive island resort catering to the world's richest people. Jekyll Island did not open to the public until 1954.

Today, Jekyll draws visitors from around the world. Avid campers and outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy the Jekyll Island Campground, the island's only camping and RV destination. A variety of other RV parks and campgrounds can be found on the mainland in Brunswick, Georgia, less than 10 miles from Jekyll Island.

Jekyll Island Campground

The Jekyll Island Campground, at the northern point of the island, offers more than 200 campsites on 18 acres of moss-draped, live oak forest. The campground includes simple, raised tent sites, cabins, as well as full hook-up RV sites featuring water, electric, sewage, even cable television, and wireless Internet. Jekyll Island Campground is located within walking distance from Driftwood Beach, a fishing pier and picnic area, and historic ruins. The campground features tennis, golf, cycling paths, restrooms with showers, picnic tables, coin-operated laundry, and a camp store that rents bicycles and sells food, ice, propane, bait, and fishing supplies.

Golden Isle RV Park

Travelers staying on the mainland can find a variety of RV parks just a short drive from Jekyll Island. Golden Isle RV Park is under 10 miles from Jekyll Island, and less than 20 miles from St. Simon Island and Sea Island. Golden Isle RV Park offers 160 campsites with full RV hook-ups, as well as basic tent sites and cabins. Campground amenities include an on-site restaurant serving country cooking, a swimming pool and playground, restrooms with showers, payphones, and coin-operated laundry facilities.

Coastal Georgia RV Resort

The Coastal Georgia RV Resort is the newest RV park in the Jekyll Island vicinity. Located in Brunswick, Georgia, just off highway I-95, this RV resort is less than seven miles from Jekyll Island and the beaches of the Atlantic shoreline. The Coastal Georgia RV Resort features a lake with paddle boats and fishing, an outdoor swimming pool and a pavilion with a barbecue grill and picnic tables. The resort offers 105 campsites with full 30- and 50-amp hook-up service, as well as two bath houses, two coin-operated laundry facilities, a game room and shuffleboard court, a conference room, and a campground store.
