Indio, California, is a small desert city in the Coachella Valley and has been referred to as the "Hub of the Valley." Its central location to Palm Springs, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Death Valley gives Indio visitors access to urban and backcountry attractions.

Shadow Hill RV Resort

The Shadow Hill RV Resort received the Trailer Life Directory 2009 Award of Excellence. It offers a full range of amenities as well as standard 30- or 50-amp electric, water, sewer and cable TV hookups. Short and long-term stays are welcomed, and different rates can be negotiated depending on the length of stay. All sizes of RVs can be accommodated, including those with slide-outs. Pets are welcome and credit cards accepted. Amenities include Wi-Fi, showers, guest rooms, barbecue grills, swimming pool and recreation rooms. There is a play area for kids and a small pet walk. Good Sam and AAA club discounts are offered to members and reservations are recommended.

Emerald Desert RV Park

Emerald Desert RV park offers a luxury RV campground. There are 251 sites, and all size RVs can be accommodated. Slide-outs are no problem, and there are pull-through and back-in sites. Hookups include 20-, 30- or 50-amp electric, water, sewer, cable TV and Wi-Fi. A full range of guest amenities include a hot shower room, spas, swimming pool, recreation room and arcade, guest house with kitchen facilities, pet walk, picnic area and barbecue stations. There's a coin-operated laundry, dump station and small general store. Pets are welcome and credit cards accepted.

Two Springs RV Resort

Just a few minutes from downtown Indio, Two Springs has full hookups with each site and include 30- or 50-amp electric, water, sewer, cable TV and Wi-Fi. All size RVs are accommodated. Guests will enjoy a swimming pool and spa, hot showers, private toilets, guest club house, playground, game room, dump station and laundry facility. Credit cards are accepted, and pets are welcome, but dogs need to remain on leash while on the grounds. Picnic areas and barbecue sites are available.
