Tucked away in Santa Cruz County is the small community of Felton, Calif. Originally settled as a logging town, Felton enjoys tourism as a driving force to its economy. The Roaring Camp Railroad is a top tourist attraction and is one of the last few remaining narrow gauge railroads in North America.

Smithwoods RV Park

Set among the Redwood trees, Smithwoods RV Park has standard hookups that include water, electric (30 and 50 amp), sewer and cable TV. Picnic tables, fire rings with grills and shade trees are available at most sites, and guests have access to the on-site swimming pool, showers, private toilets, billiards room, kids' recreation area and arcade, and a basketball court. A small general store is on the grounds. There is a wooded area for pets. Reservations are recommended during the summer months and holidays.

Cotillion Gardens Recreational

With 80 sites for RVs, the Cotillion Gardens has hookups that include 30-amp electric, water, sewer and cable TV. RVs to 30 feet can be accommodated. There is a swimming pool and game room for children, and pets are welcome. A barbecue station is available for guest use and most sites have a picnic table and fire ring with a grill for cookouts. The Cotillion also has a shower room, private toilets and laundry facility. Reservations are recommended during the summer months.

Santa Cruz/Monterey KOA

The Santa Cruz/Monterey KOA is a few miles from Felton. All size RVs can be accommodated, including those with slide-outs. Pull-thru and back-in sites are on the grounds, and hookups include 20-, 30- or 50-amp electric, water, sewer, cable TV and Wi-Fi. A playground and game room are on-site for kids. Pets are welcome but must remain on a leash and refrain from barking. Good Sam and AAA discounts are available. Reservations are recommended in summer.
