Phoenix-Area Steak Houses

Phoenix-Area Steak Houses
Phoenix's bustling metropolitan area provides a sharp contrast to its surrounding desert. Spend days in town golfing on one of the city's lush, green courses or hiking Camelback Mountain. Restore your energy at the end of the day with a nourishing meal. Whether traveling alone on business or in the company of friends or family, Phoenix can provide a restaurant to meet the wants of your entire party.

Donovan's Steak & Chop House

Donovan's provides more than a finely crafted steak. The restaurant's seafood and additional non-steak options such as its Australian rack of lamb or cherry-glazed pork chops provide variety for those in your group seeking something other than steak. The on-site wine cellar makes Donovan's a connoisseur's paradise. Recipient of Wine Spectator Magazine's Best Award of Excellence, guests are certain to find the right accompaniment for any meal. Dinner seating begins at 5 p.m. daily, and the restaurant's own "Martini Hour" runs from 4 until 8 p.m.

Stockyard's Restaurant

Long part of Arizona's well-worn cowboy tradition, Stockyard's Restaurant came out of a 2005 renovation with new luster and a renewed commitment to preserving Arizona's rich history. The steaks at Stockyard's range in size from its 8-ounce filet mignon to its massive 20-ounce buffalo rib-eye steak or porterhouse. Frequently featured regional specialties garnish the menu, providing such options as its blue cornmeal-crusted trout with bourbon pecan butter sauce or its Sonoran sauced BBQ baby-back ribs. Don't skip the sides at Stockyard's, with choices like the cowboy beans with chorizo and roasted corn or the mushroom skillet. It is open for dinner Monday through Saturday from 5 until 9 p.m. and Sunday from 5 until 8 p.m. Lunch is served weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Stop by with the whole family for a festive, Old West meal.
