Hotel Grand Pacific

Hotel Grand Pacific was the winner of the Conde Nast Traveler Magazine Award in 2008. It is located in downtown Victoria overlooking the city's famous Inner Harbor. Comfortable guest accommodations include rooms with private balconies, one-bedroom suites and larger luxury suites. All come equipped with bathrobe, coffeemaker, high-speed Internet connection, iron and ironing board, hairdryer and complimentary newspaper. The fitness center includes a well-appointed gym, steam room, sauna and heated pool. The hotel offers fitness classes such as yoga and Pilates. The business center provides computers, office supplies and copier and fax service. A conference room is available on an hourly basis. Pets stay for an additional fee.

Brentwood Bay Lodge and Spa

Brentwood Bay Lodge is Victoria's only five-star oceanfront hotel. A boutique hotel, and therefore much smaller than the traditional luxury hotels, with only 33 rooms, Brentwood Bay Lodge concentrates on the spa aspects of its amenities and caters more to vacationers than to business travelers. Massages, esthetic treatments, body wraps and hydrotherapies are offered in addition to the standard manicures, pedicures and facials. All ocean suites have balconies, gas fireplaces, massage showers and jetted tubs. Other in-room treats are water infused with fruit flavors and freshly-baked cookies. The on-site marina and eco-adventure center--open March through October--appeal to guests who enjoy canoeing, kayaking or scuba diving. No pets are allowed.
