Del Frisco's Prime Steak and Lobster
Del Frisco's is a family-owned steakhouse that has been a staple for locals and regular visitors since it opened in 1993. It is reputed to be one of the best spots in town to close a deal, and many business travelers will not come to Orlando without eating here. The steaks are corn-fed, prime beef from the Midwest, the cold-water Australian lobster melts in your mouth and the wine list features 6,500 select bottles.
Zagat's rated Del Frisco's "extraordinary" in its 2009 review, and that survey calls this steakhouse "the best steak at any restaurant, in any city, at any price." The Orlando Sentinel named this restaurant "best steakhouse" in its 2009 list of the best of what Orlando has to offer. Del Frisco's opens at 5 p.m. for dinner service only, and it is closed on Sundays. Reservations are recommended.

Shula's Steak House in Orlando
This steakhouse features an out-of-the-way location in the Dolphin Hotel at the Walt Disney World Resort. Don Shula operates his steakhouse in the same way he coached the Miami Dolphins football team, with excellence. The meat at Shula's is "premium black Angus beef," and the restaurant features its own custom-aged "Shula cut." Another feature at Shula's is the 48-ounce porterhouse. Induction into the 48-Ounce Club is bestowed on anyone who can eat the whole thing.
Not surprisingly, the dining room sports a football theme with a focus on the 1972 Miami Dolphins who went undefeated for that entire season. The theme goes even further with menus that are official NFL footballs, hand-painted with the food selections and signed by the legendary coach. After dinner, guests can stroll around the resort or take a boat over to Disney's Boardwalk for some entertainment.

Spice Modern Steakhouse
The original Spice opened in Winter Park in 2006 with its sister steakhouse arriving in downtown Orlando about one year later. Spice boasts a tasty steak as well as non-steak favorites like sushi, grouper and pork chops. The prices at Spice are a bit more reasonable than some of the area's upscale steakhouses, but the food is still delicious and the atmosphere comfortable and appealing.
The Downtown Spice features an outdoor dining area with a view of Lake Eola and the city of Orlando. The chic Winter Park locale is a hot spot for the local in-crowd and the lounge rocks with live entertainment on Friday and Saturday from 8 p.m. to midnight.
