Cragin's Brick Haus
Just blocks from the Pennsylvania State Capitol, this pub offers live music, plenty of beer choices, an intimate atmosphere and authentic German food. From sausages and goulash to steaks, Cragin's balances its German-focused menu with traditional bar food, like burgers and fries. One of the specialties is Shepherd's Pie, a meat pie with a crunchy mashed potato crust, served with a side of veggies. The Goulash is a thick, warm bowl of meat, potatoes and noodles, which tastes great with dash of sugar.

Hofbrauhaus
The Hofbrauhaus takes its German authenticity very seriously, including the decor of the restaurant, which include scenes of Germany and old country beer steins. The same can be said of the food, which includes traditional sausage, wurst and meat dishes. Specialty entrees found at the Hofbrauhaus can't be easily found many other places, like Kassler Rippchen, a dish of smoked pork chops with applesauce or Rouladen, a thin steak rolled with onions, bacon and relish. The restaurant also offers German sides like cabbage, potatoes and sauerkraut.
