Timberline Cabins
Timberline Cabins are located off Route 22, and adjacent to Salt Fork State Park. Salt Fork offers forests, picnic areas, meadows, and a lake, and is just three minutes from Timberline. There are two-bedroom cabins at the Timbers section, each of which has a huge loft with two queen beds and a queen bedroom downstairs, equipped kitchen, wood-burning fireplace, private deck with a grill, a six-person hot tub and private bonfire pit. These cabins rented for $195 per night in 2009. An even larger cabin, the Birmingham, can sleep up to nine comfortably. It has a separate gazebo structure, where the eight-person hot tub is located, along with a grill and picnic table, cooled by a ceiling fan. Pricing for the Birmingham was $245 per night in 2009. Timberline also offers more affordable accommodations in its two-bedroom hillside cottages. They sleep six to eight people, some with double sets of bunk beds. Each has a full kitchen, wood-burning fireplace, picnic table, bonfire pit, satellite TV and grill, but no hot tubs. Rates for the cottages were $120 per night in 2009. Off-season rates can be discounted, so always be sure to ask.

Nomad Ridge at the Wilds
The Wilds is a 10,000-acre wildlife preservation center in southern Ohio, and it offers luxury accommodations in the form of yurts. Yurts are a combination tent-cabin structure, with a wooden floor, screened windows, solid wood doors and private bathrooms with showers, and sturdy canvas tops and sides. The yurts are adults-only, and you can sit on your private deck and enjoy views of the animal pasture areas of the Wilds. Dinner and breakfast are provided by the Wilds' professional chef, and a choice of two safari tours for each guest is included in an overnight stay. Each yurt has one queen or king bed, or two single beds. In the evening, you can relax around an open fire and see how close the stars look while listening to the sounds of the wildlife. Pricing for woodland yurts in 2009 was $325 per night, including meals and tours.
