Sarasota, Florida Resorts
There is so much to see and do in the Sarasota area--fishing, swimming, snorkeling, diving, hiking, biking, kayaking and canoeing--that visitors always seem to keep coming back. The beaches are spectacular, and Siesta Key was rated the No. 2 beach by Dr. Beach. There are also numerous arts and cultural activities and plenty of nightlife to keep guests busy.

The Palm Bay Club

Located on Siesta Key in Sarasota, The Palm Bay Club is a condo-tel property (condominium owners rent units to the public). Situated on the beach and the Intercoastal Waterway, the condo units often provide more room and conveniences than the best hotels for roughly the same cost. You can pick from Gulf of Mexico views or Sarasota Bay views, and accommodations are available at daily, weekly and monthly rates. Resort amenities include two heated swimming pools, tennis courts, yacht basin, a private clubhouse, beachside barbecue grills, a fishing pier and exercise equipment. Free wireless internet access is standard in all rooms and in the pool areas. Though standard rates are higher, averages around $150 per night were common in 2009.
